I still don't quite understand why Trump World does what it does.
On Friday, January 27th, in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, President Donald Trump in his statement made no mention of the millions of Jews slaughtered in the Holocaust :

The White House
Office of the Press Secretary
For Immediate Release
January 27, 2017
Statement by the President on International Holocaust Remembrance Day
“It is with a heavy heart and somber mind that we remember and honor the victims, survivors, heroes of the Holocaust. It is impossible to fully fathom the depravity and horror inflicted on innocent people by Nazi terror.
“Yet, we know that in the darkest hours of humanity, light shines the brightest. As we remember those who died, we are deeply grateful to those who risked their lives to save the innocent.
“In the name of the perished, I pledge to do everything in my power throughout my Presidency, and my life, to ensure that the forces of evil never again defeat the powers of good. Together, we will make love and tolerance prevalent throughout the world.”

Press Secretary Sean Spicer called the attention that this omission drew from several quarters "pathetic," and his other subsequent remarks on the subject seemed so defensive as to sound quite offensive.
Although not mentioning Jews specifically in the White House Holocaust Statement could have been understandably attributed to this new Executive staff having to get so much else accomplished, Spicer remarked that Trump “went out of his way to recognize the Holocaust.”
Wha...out of his way !?

In fact, unlike every other federal agency, The White House seemed to actively refrain from including the mention of Jews whatsoever in connection with International Holocaust Remembrance Day:
Politico
White House nixed Holocaust statement naming Jews
The State Department wrote a message that recognized Jewish victims, but the White House used its own that didn’t
......the White House didn’t see State’s draft until after issuing its own statement and told State not to release its version because it came after 7 p.m. And the official said the White House didn't ask the State Department to craft their own statement..."
"Chief of Staff Reince Priebus said he didn’t regret the wording........the White House’s own statement drew widespread criticism for overlooking the Jews' suffering..."
...... and (it) was cheered by neo-Nazi website the Daily Stormer."

"... For Richard Spencer, the leading ideologue of the so-called “alt-right,”
....Donald
Trump’s Holocaust Remembrance Day statement that failed to mention Jews or
anti-Semitism was an important, perhaps revolutionary, step."
"...In Spencer’s
eyes, the “de-Judification” of the Holocaust is a quintessentially “Trumpian”
statement. Spencer championed Trump through the presidential campaign — and
though he has been critical of the president at times, seems to have come
around to Trump....'
“Trump is a
white nationalist, so to speak, he is alt-right whether he likes it or not,”
Spencer in a recent interview on “The David Pakman Show...” from the article titled:
White Supremacist Richard Spencer Hails Trump's 'de-Judaification' of Holocaust

The White House's dissonant communication and what appeared to be its deliberate rude manner in handling this episode seemed, however, to track seamlessly with this report by Reuters and other news outlets:
"The Trump administration wants to revamp and rename a U.S. government program designed to counter all violent ideologies so that it focuses solely on Islamist extremism, five people briefed on the matter told Reuters.
The program, "Countering Violent Extremism," or CVE, would be changed to "Countering Islamic Extremism" or "Countering Radical Islamic Extremism," the sources said, and would no longer target groups such as white supremacists who have also carried out bombings and shootings in the United States."

I am, though, absolutely clear that now- right now - is the time to act... aren't you?
