.... IS STILL BANNED
.... AND IT STILL AIN'T RIGHT
So, as
we all know by now, the Ninth District Judges ruled against the implementation
of the Trump Muslim (not Muslim!) Travel Ban (not a Ban!), and cited
certain substantial deficiencies that needed to be addressed before the order met
Constitutional standards.
As the
Trump White House staff set about making
what it termed merely ‘technical’ and ‘inconsequential’
revisions to the Order foisted upon them by ‘so called’ judges, they also commissioned an
intelligence report from the Department
of Homeland Security that would serve to support the major underpinnings of the ban … but instead Trump World was served up the truth:
The
body of research and facts in the DHS report actually knocked down the following
‘core claims’ of the Trump Muslim (not Muslim!) Travel Ban (not
a Ban!):
1) Citizenship is unlikely to be a reliable indicator of potential terrorist
activity,
2) More than half of the terror attacks in the United States have
been carried by native born U.S. citizens,
3) The foreign terrorists came
from altogether 26 countries (but no country producing an overwhelming percentage led by : Iran,
Pakistan, Bangladesh, Cuba, Ethiopia, Somalia and
Uzbekistan, as reported below:
Although
the DHS report does not support any fact based, logical rationale for targeting
the 7 countries originally included in the Ban, the White House’s revised Order still stubbornly targets only those same countries ...
…because that's the way they like it (uh-huh,uh-huh).
The White House then ordered that
the above report be “spiked” (trashed) and that an intelligence document
containing ‘other’ facts supporting the Travel Ban Executive Order's original ‘core claims’ be created.
Ordering up ‘intelligence’
tailored to predetermined conclusions? ….
Conclusions in search of evidence… conjuring other, scripted, alternative facts….
Does the Trump World 'get' that the United States Presidency isn't an extravagantly produced
(cast of millions) 4 year theatre engagement, or a clever con - or that 'Intelligence,' 'analysis' and 'truth'
are actual, serious things?
Here lives, for real, are saved or lost,
improved or demolished. Not actors, not sets… real drama. Outcomes are often
permanent, irrevocable. Success is aided by solid facts, truth, knowledge,
training, ferocious care, appreciation, empathy, respect for humankind as well as the consequences of
one’s actions… and the luck of the draw.
Mercifully,some patriot ‘spiked’ this DHS report to the Associated Press. I suspect that ‘spiking’ or ‘leaking’ - whatever one
calls it - will go on frequently for now, because right now,obviously,Trump World hasn't got
- or doesn't want-
a clue:
